Under Microscope

It's another world under the microscope.

These images show the details of a cellphone screen. This particular phone is an iPhone SE manufactured around the same time as iPhone 8. Its screen is characteristic of this manufacturer. iPhone screens of this year all appear similar. Every repeating unit has three parallel bands of light; colored in red, green, and blue. This format allows an easy simulation of many distinct colors through mixing of these primary colors. When all bands are turned off, the screen has a black appearance. When all color bands shine at full capacity, that section of the screen appears white. A careful and closer inspection of the bands reveals that the individual bands of red, green, and blue are made of six thin lines. At the corners of some unites, other electronic components are visible as dark indications.
